design values
1
purpose > plans
The “why” behind a choice matters more to me than the choice itself.
2
make informed design decisions
My role is to make intentional, high-quality design decisions.
3
people > deliverables
I foster psychological safety, wellbeing, and impact through my work, centering those with marginalized identities.
4
build for the margins to build for everyone
Accessible design is great design. The curb cut out effect is underutilized.
process
It's not always tidy & linear, but all my design projects cycle through these 4 major phases:
1
I research what problems to solve and scope potential solutions.
2
I design with the right level of fidelity for the unknowns and understand what my design says to the world.
3
I measure the design against success criteria and evaluate strengths and weaknesses.
4
Repeat steps 1-3 until the job is done.
